Why would you want to learn Russian anywhere else?
I am a mature student and decided to learn the Russian language as I would like to study Russian literature in Moscow. Currently, I have three lessons of three academic hours per week, conducted via zoom.
My tutor, Viatchislav, is rigorous, precise and I believe an excellent mentor, who pushes you to get the best out of you. The lessons are well formatted and paced at a level to suite all the students in your group.
Is this hard work? Yes it is, but anything is that is worth achieving. If you put the effort in you will get the results, and MSU is there to support you all the way.

Very good course !!! Teachers are very kind and supportive!!! If you speak Russian and want to share your knowledge with others, you can take the course and become a teacher!

I highly recommend the course for current and future teachers of Russian. And simply for lovers of Russian language. Anastasia Ponachevnaya did an amazing job compiling and presenting theoretical and practical material. All the best in all your endeavors!

The course is very well-structured and organised. It provides a thorough and substantial introduction to the practical aspects of teaching Russian as Foreign Language. Both novice and experienced teachers will find it useful for themselves. I would in particular commend teachers' invaluable contribution to delivery of webinars(I personally fell in love with those devoted to the phonetics of the Russian language). Since the course is very practical it requires students to complete tasks for which they receive constructive feedback with further recommendations from highly experienced tutors. I would like to say a huge thank you to my instructor Anastasia Ponachevnaya who was very helpful throughout my learning experience. She was approachable, supportive and her valuable feedbacks helped me throughout the whole course!!

I have been studying at MGU for a number of weeks now and would enormously recommend the school to anyone interested, no matter what your current proficiency is. My existing abilities were very well judged and I was subsequently matched with a language instructor - 'Tatiana' - who understands my learning process and has created a calm and productive learning environment. MGU is in the centre of Moscow, super close to most of the most famous attractions and very accessible from all corners of the city. But best of all, you will meet interesting and friendly students/classmates from all over the world who like you, are driven to maximising their Russian language skills. The course can be as intensive as you choose it to be. My recommendation is: pick MGU.

The classes here are very intensive and really make you use all your knowledge to the best of your ability. In the A2 class with Natalya, I always feel challenged to improve my Russian. While it was difficult at first, only having studied for a year, I feel like I’ve definitely improved leaps and bounds thanks to the class being taught entirely in Russian. Would 100% recommend!
